Jessica Rauch, President & Executive Director

#cantstopwontstop

When not doting on her adorable dog, Deputy, Jessica is connecting philanthropic partners with the DCPS’ most promising strategic priorities. Jessica came to the DC Ed Fund from DC Public Schools where she spent three years leading the district’s strategic planning efforts. Jessica loves working so closely with her DCPS friends while leveraging her experiences in nonprofit executive management, recruitment, and teaching. #TeachForAmerica

A native Californian, Jessica loves sunshine and See’s Candy. She roots for the Cal Golden Bears and graduated from UC Berkeley with highest honors for her research on racial stratification in schools. Jessica still loves a healthy debate about education policy and how to improve the systems and structures that contribute to the achievement gap.

Recently named one of DC’s 40 Under 40 Business Leaders by the Washington Business Journal, Jessica is always looking for ways to engage the business community in DC Ed Fund’s annual gala, Standing Ovation for DC Public Schools. Contact her to learn more! (No, really, please contact her!)

You can catch Jessica’s cross-posts of the inspiring things happening at DCPS and DC Ed Fund @jessicarauch #dcpsrising #dcpsstandingovation

#inspired

When Katie isn’t at the gym, she’s dreaming up new ways to integrate Salesforce into her personal life. As Chief Operating Officer, Katie is thrilled to work on the strategic goals of the DC Public Education Fund, which include efficient fiscal oversight and processes, identifying key strategic priority areas for investment with DC Public Schools, and communicating with donors about their investments. Katie joined the DC Ed Fund in 2013 after overseeing the management of a large federal grant at a small community GED school in the Price Hill neighborhood in Cincinnati. Katie has previously worked as a Professor of English and a tax consultant.

A native of DC (… and northern Virginia), Katie holds a BA in Accounting and an MFA in Creating Writing. When she’s not working, you can find her on a run, reading the New York Times, or nerding-out learning InDesign.

Caylee Harris, Development Manager

Caylee Harris, Development Manager

As a reluctantly-identifying millennial, Caylee spends a lot of her time dreaming up ways to make the world a better place. Caylee joined the Ed Fund team in 2014 and serves as the Development Manager. She works closely with the Executive Director to identify and cultivate the millions of dollars that support DC Public Schools’ most urgent and innovative initiatives.

When she’s not trying her hardest to make it rain, you can probably find her experimenting in InDesign, Googling cute cat pics, obsessing over Salesforce, or fantasizing about one day learning how to cook (it will never happen).

Originally from the Midwest, Caylee got her Bachelors of Arts degree from Johns Hopkins University and has been on the east coast ever since.
